Russian River Valley: Fog-kissed mornings and warm afternoons create the perfect growing conditions for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The Russian River Valley is home to some of Sonoma County’s most acclaimed wineries, with a laid-back atmosphere that feels a world away from the crowds.
Dry Creek Valley: Zinfandel country at its finest. Dry Creek Valley’s sun-drenched hillsides produce bold, fruit-forward reds alongside crisp Sauvignon Blancs. Frequently Asked Questions
How many wineries do we visit?
Our group tours visit three carefully selected boutique wineries over 5–7 hours.
Are tasting fees included?
Tasting fees are included with our Food & Wine Pairing tour. For group and private tours,
wineries charge their own tasting fees (typically $20–$40 per person), though fees are often
waived when you purchase wine or join a wine club.
Where do you pick up?
We offer complimentary pickup from Santa Rosa, Windsor, and Kenwood/Glen Ellen. Pickups
from Healdsburg, Petaluma, Sonoma, Rohnert Park, Cotati, and Sebastopol are available for a
small fee for our join in group tours. We can also arrange pickups from Napa and the San Francisco Bay Area upon
request for our private tours.
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes — our small group sizes mean tours fill up quickly, especially on weekends and during
harvest season from August through October. We recommend booking at least a few days in
advance to secure your preferred date.
Is Sonoma Wine Rides licensed and insured?
Absolutely. We operate under CPUC Authority TCP 38887-A and carry full commercial
insurance for your complete peace of mind.
What should I wear?
Dress comfortably. Wine country is casual — we recommend layers since mornings can be
cool and afternoons warm. Comfortable walking shoes are a plus, as some wineries have
gravel paths or hillside vineyards.
